Everything You Need To Know Before Having CoolSculpting

Azure Coolsculpting imageA surprising but common benefit of CoolSculpting is that not only will you have a new and improved body shape, but often we find our clients have increased motivation to improve their diets and take more regular exercise. In a way, CoolSculpting was the ‘reset’ they needed to jumpstart their ideal body and lifestyle goals.

Below we answer popular questions (and bust some myths) about best CoolSculpting so you know what to expect before having this treatment.

CoolSculpting – What You Should Know

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical fat freezing treatment that permanently destroys a percentage of fat cells in the treatment area. This treatment is most effective at reducing areas of stubborn fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.

Is CoolSculpting suitable for everyone?

Ideal patients are near, or just outside, their ideal body weight. They eat well and get regular exercise. CoolSculpting is not recommended for overweight or obese patients. If this fat-freezing treatment is not right for you, alternative strategies can be discussed.

Is CoolSculpting a weight loss treatment?

It should not be considered a weight loss treatment, rather a body shaping or body contouring treatment. CoolSculpting will kill a percentage of fat cells in the treatment area, however if excess calories are consumed following treatment, you will put on weight in the remaining fat cells, reducing the benefits.

When do I see results?

You may start to see results as quickly as three weeks following treatment. More dramatic results will be visible after two months, and the most marked changes will be seen four to six months following treatment, as the last of the dead fat cells have been cleared from your body.

How much does it cost?

The cost will depend on your goals and the type and number of areas for treatment, so it’s very difficult to just give a simple figure – it’s not a once-size-fits-all treatment. We offer a complimentary consultation, to discuss your goals and develop a personalised treatment plan specifically for your body – and to fit your budget. We offer the best advice and service, using only the genuine CoolSculpting machine. Our staff are very caring and highly trained so that you can rest assured of achieving optimum results.

What areas can be treated?

Most areas of the body can be treated with the most popular areas being the stomach, flanks, thighs, back and underneath the buttocks. A double chin can also be treated with CoolSculpting. Each treatment is customised to your particular needs following a careful assessment of our extensively trained and highly professional CoolSculpting Consultants.

Is the treatment safe?

Unlike some copies out there, the genuine CoolSculpting procedure is TGA and FDA cleared. Millions of treatments have been performed successfully worldwide. There is no downtime, so you can return to your normal activities straight afterwards. Some patients even choose to have a treatment in their work lunch break.

What happens to the fat?

CoolSculpting permanently destroys fat cells so once the fat cells in the treatment area are frozen, they die. The dead cells are then naturally processed out of the body over several months following treatment.

Are there any side effects?

In some cases, a numb sensation and mild itching can persist following treatment, however, this typically subsides quickly. Other side effects are rare and will be discussed in your complimentary consultation.
