In this article, we explain the VelaShape III for skin tightening and volume reduction, how it works and what to expect.
Skin Tightening With VelaShape
Collagen and elastin are the “scaffolding” for our skin. As we age, our body’s natural production of collagen and elastin decreases. With the latest technology, it’s possible to stimulate our skin to produce more collagen and elastin for tighter, smoother looking skin.
The VelaShape combines massage and suction with bi-polar radio frequency and intense infrared light. These four systems together stimulate the production of collagen and elastin for noticeable and long-term results. The safety and effectiveness of the VelaShape has been proven in numerous clinical trials and has been cleared by the US Food & Drug Administration. Additionally, more than 3.5 million independent treatments have been performed globally.
Clinical trials with the VelaShape have shown:
- Noticeable improvement in skin firmness and texture over the treated areas
- Reduction in the appearance of cellulite
- Circumference reduction of up to 3cm

What You Can Expect
You can see results of tighter looking skin in just 1-3 sessions however a program of 4 treatments spaced two weeks apart is recommended for optimal skin tightening, cellulite reduction and body contouring.
Treatments are comfortable and last 30-40 minutes depending on the size and number of areas to be treated. It feels like a really firm, warm massage and there’s no downtime so you can go back to your normal daily routine straight afterward. A healthy diet and some light exercise following treatment will help to optimise results.
